Welcome to our website. George said to me, “Dr. Jake, did you know that the most requested learning module from the Lean Leadership Course is PDCA, the Problem Solving module!” This was certainly a very interesting observation coming from the popular course by George Trachilis.
In my over 40 years, in various progressive roles and with Fortune 500 companies, I have also observed that Problem Solving is the most sought after and critical skill that every leader at every level in their organization should be highly skilled at. Both in their daily work to enable and pursue excellence, and in developing others to do the same. This became very evident for me when I was taught by my senior Japanese Sensei’s’ at Toyota Motor Manufacturing. He reinforced that all leadership excellence is pursuing problem solving the PDCA way. Leadership excellence is about leading problem solving – leading by solving problems – the PDCA way.
George and I have decided to collaborate and develop leading problem solving by learning, developing and coaching everyone at every level to develop these skills. This applies to any manufacturing and service company. Book a conversation with us today.
He started his career at Motor Coach Industries in 1994 where he received Lean coaching by the best consultants in ERP systems, Just-in-Time manufacturing, and Total Quality Management. Having lead change for over 10 years, he later started a successful consulting practice in 2003. It grew to become one of Canada’s Fastest Growth Companies by 2006. George later partnered with Dr. Jeffrey K. Liker, best-selling author of the Toyota Way, and Norman Bodek, known as the Godfather of Lean. George is now one of the most knowledgeable people on the topic of Lean and more importantly, a practitioner and learner. George has been both a coach to and a student of Dr. Jake Abraham.
To implement AI applications you must start with a good core of leaders understanding how to problem solve. This book will get you there.
The Lean Leadership Development Model (LLDM) presented in this book is intuitive, and aligns well with accepted principles of operational excellence. It expands significantly on the elements of Lean, structuring them in a more specific way that can be operationalized by lean practitioners.
In Developing Lean Leaders at all Levels we build on the theory in the original book, The Toyota Way to Lean Leadership, and answer the questions: How can I apply this in my organization? What concrete actions can I take to begin the journey of becoming a lean leader? How can I spread this learning to all parts of the organization? What critical tools are needed to turn the theory to practice? TThe book treats you as a student who will be actively engaged in developing lean leader skills as you read. It acts as a tutorial for beginning the journey!
